I’ve always believed you don’t need a special occasion to wear something beautiful.

Sometimes you put on a favorite piece simply because it makes you feel good. Because you love the color, the way it catches the light, or simply because it feels like you.

That feeling is what inspires me.

I’ve always loved jewelry—not just wearing it, but creating it. Long before Soulshine Jewelry Designs, I was making pieces from repurposed beads, mixing colors, textures, and little treasures together just to see what I could create. I love taking something that already has a story and giving it new life.

Creating jewelry is where my imagination gets to wander and navigate what is my joy.

I’m drawn to pieces that feel a little different. Pieces with personality. I love unexpected combinations, natural character, and the feeling that a piece somehow found its way to you.

Following the stone

My journey into silversmithing and elk ivory has opened up an entirely new kind of creativity.

Each piece of elk ivory is completely one of a kind. No two pieces have the same shape, natural characteristics, or story. Rather than deciding exactly what a piece should become, I love letting the ivory guide me.

Its shape, movement, and natural character become part of the design. Sometimes I have an idea before I begin. Other times, the piece itself tells me what it wants to become.

That is one of my favorite parts of creating.

Soulshine is for the jewelry lover who wears the good stuff on an ordinary Tuesday.

For the person who puts on turquoise with jeans, wears the hoop earrings, stacks bracelets because she loves the way they look, or wears a special necklace simply because it makes her smile.

I don't want to create jewelry that sits in a box waiting for the “right” occasion.

I want to create pieces that become part of your everyday life—pieces you reach for because they make you feel beautiful, happy, just because or simply a little more like yourself.

Every piece I make carries a little bit of my creativity, curiosity, and joy.
